Children's Residential Care Services

We believe that a stable, loving home environment can change the direction of a young person’s life—and we’re proud to provide that space at Aarons.

  • Our team is on-site 24/7, offering continuous supervision, emotional check-ins, and assistance with daily routines to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and cared for around the clock.

We provide trauma-informed, child-centred emotional care through individual therapy, group sessions, and creative approaches like art or play therapy—helping children process past experiences and build emotional resilience.

Each child lives in a warm, welcoming home with private bedrooms and comfortable shared spaces, designed to feel secure, calm, and family-like.

Whether attending school or learning through alternative routes, we support each child’s academic journey through one-on-one tutoring, homework help, and collaboration with educators.

From life skills like cooking and cleaning to social-emotional learning, we help young people build confidence, independence, and strong relationships.

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

At Aarons Children’s Residential Care, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is at the heart of how we care for and support the children who live with us. It’s not about controlling behaviour — it’s about understanding it.

We know that behaviour is a form of communication, often shaped by past experiences, trauma, or unmet emotional needs. That’s why we don’t ask, “What’s wrong with this child?” but instead, “What’s happened to them?” and “What are they trying to tell us?”

Therapeutic Support

At Aarons Children’s Residential Home, we believe that healing begins with connection. Our therapeutic approach is embedded in daily routines, staff relationships, and the way we support each child’s emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.

We adopt a Therapeutically Informed Model of Care, designed to promote emotional regulation and resilience, heal relational trauma, foster secure attachments with key adults, encourage reflective, trusting relationships, and deliver trauma-sensitive, developmentally appropriate care.

Pathway Programme

At Aarons Children’s Residential Care, we believe the journey to adulthood starts well before age sixteen. Our Pathway Programme helps children build life skills, confidence, and resilience early on. We take a proactive, child-centred approach so children are prepared emotionally and practically for adulthood.
